PCCOE was established in 1999 and taking into consideration the tenure it has completed till date, it has already become one of the most renowned Engineering colleges in Pune – Credit goes to the remarkable placements. It is permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, approved by AICTE and an ISO 9001:2008 certified college. Also the blue striped uniform of PCCOE which it is quite popularly known for.
Address: Sector -26, Pradhikaran, Nigdi, Near Akurdi Railway Station, Pune, Maharashtra 411044
5 mins from Akurdi Railway Station.
10 mins from Nigdi Bus Stop.
PCCOE has a 13 acre campus which is considered to be an ideal place to conduct Mega Companies Drive. It has a canteen, gymnasium, playground and a Wi-Fi campus (for which you’ll rarely get the permission to use). Canteen is said to have very less items on the menu and the quality is decent. Also quite recently, IBM and Nvidia set up two new labs on campus as part of their campus research center.
PCCOE has about 75% local crowd, and very few OMS students. Since the college is far from central Pune, the seats are bound to be filled in with more rural students than city students. But this trend is already changing with the new batches coming in.
PCCOE hosts SPECTRUM, a technical symposium exclusively for the First Year students. Annual Gathering-SWARTARANG is the social event where students get a chance to showcase their talents in dance, music, art, sports and many more. And if you’re a football player then this is the college for you!
PCCOE Placements are commendable all because of the T&P Coordinator, Mr. Shitalkumar Rawandale and the team, known to have placed more than 12000 students from across India in last 5 years. The major recruiters include TCS, L&T Infotech, Capgemini, KPIT Cummins, Quinnox, Cognizant, Amdocs, IBM etc. The average package a student receives is around 3 lacs/annum. There are few students who have also bagged an amazing package of rs. 32 lacs/annum at ZF. Moreover, in an effort to expand the placement horizons, as of now the placement activities take place in two colleges i.e PCCOE, Nigdi and PCCOE&R, Ravet under the aegis of Central Placement Cell led by Mr. Rawandale.
The opinion we got about PCCOE faculty is that they surely need to improve their communication skills. The quality of teaching varies from department to department with Mech having some of the best teachers and IT having some of the worst. (With exceptions of course!)
PCCOE is probably one of the most strict and disciplined colleges in Pune. Students are detained if their attendance is below 50% (stop giggling, it has actually happened!!). If it is between 50-75% they are asked to buy books for the library. You are left alive only if you cross the 75% deadline!
The fees is very less as compared to all the other colleges in the city. It is presently ~Rs.92000/year.
Agar tujhe apne ghar mei roti chahiye then this is the best college for you.
