National level Non-Technical Quiz Competition named ‘R-Evolution’ 2016 for students organised by Rotaract Club of DYPVP at Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute Of Engineering and Technology, Pimpri, Pune.
The first round of the event was conducted yesterday at Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pimpri. More than 2500 students from different colleges of Pune participated in it. This event was specially conducted on the occasion of Birthday of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The first round of the event was also conducted at another centre in Pune at MIT, Kothrud few days back. Now, the event will be heading towards its second and final round on 21st of Feb at Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pimpri, Pune.
Dr. Somnath Patil, Secretary of D.Y. Patil Vidya Pratishthan Society said, ”Rotaract Club of DYPVP was initiated in the year 2009-2010 to inculcate professionalism and commitment towards society among the students community. As part of this, the Club started an event called “R-EVOLUTION” which was an aptitude test and required utmost professionalism out of the members organising the event and from the participants as well. The first edition of this event was an event open only for our institute and the later editions started spreading its wings reaching out to PCMC and other colleges in Pune. This year’s event reached out to colleges in Patna, Bangalore and Hyderabad making it a National Level event. I feel proud of my students who are part of this club as they have made the college proud and brought laurels to it.”
Ujjwal Singh , one of the participant during the event expressed that it was a learning experience with fun. Another participant Vibhuti Sharma, expressed that it was a well organised event and infrastructure as well.

The whole event was beautifully organised by members of Rotaract Club Of D.Y. Patil Vidya Pratishthan and managed by Prof. Dheeraj Agrawal (Faculty Co-ordinator, RCDYPVP), Mr. Amey Patil (Management Representative), Saksham Kapur (President, RCDYPVP), Simran Singh (Secretary,RCDYPVP), Rtr. Pranit Bakshi (Event Admin), Sanket Samaiya and Mayank Vats (Asst. Event admin) under the guidance of Dr. R.K. Jain (Principal, DYPIET) and Mr.Pramod Patil (Registrar,DYPIET).
