On January 12, 2025, FLAME University came alive with the energy of innovation and inspiration as it hosted the seventh edition of TEDxFLAME University. Under the theme “Synapse: Where Thought Meets Action,” the event celebrated the transformation of ideas into impactful actions, fostering conversations that drive change and innovation.
Inspiring Speakers & Transformative Ideas
The event featured a lineup of exceptional speakers who inspired the audience with their stories of determination, creativity, and purpose:
- Mr. Kuntal Shah, a prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist, and a member of the Governing Body at FLAME University, delivered the keynote speech. He emphasized the power of innovation and collaboration in addressing contemporary global challenges.
- Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Lighthouse Communities Foundation and Chairman of the Board at Honeywell Automation India Limited, shared insights on “Innovating Everywhere, Innovating for India.” He discussed the transformation of skills and livelihoods, drawing from his life journey.
- Dr. Samir Parikh, a pioneer in mental health awareness and Director of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences at Fortis Healthcare, spoke about fostering a community that embraces mental health. He emphasized prevention, timely intervention, and collective action to drive change.
- Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO of SSC NASSCOM, explored the transformative power of mindset in achieving success. She shared her journey through tech education and leadership, emphasizing self-affirmation, resilience, and a growth mindset.
- Mr. Sandeep Rai, Founder of The Circle India, highlighted the urgent need to transform India’s education system. He envisioned schools as microcosms of a kinder, more sustainable society, shifting from individual development (“me”) to collective impact (“we”).
- Ms. Amita Deshpande, Founder of reCharkha – The EcoSocial Tribe, shared her journey from observing the rise of plastic waste in her town to founding a social enterprise. Her mission to inspire sustainable living was both thought-provoking and actionable.
- Dr. Ali Khwaja, Founder of Banjara Academy, explored the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and actions. He emphasized how their congruence empowers individuals to lead meaningful lives and shape their decisions.
- Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, renowned leadership coach, National Award-Winning Best-Selling Author, and Director of Chanakya Aanvikshiki Pvt. Ltd, discussed Chanakya’s leadership philosophy from Kautilya’s Arthashastra. He introduced “Aanvikshiki,” a blend of analysis, discipline, and practicality, highlighting the importance of a philosophical foundation for effective leadership.

TEDxFLAME University was not just about thought-provoking talks—it was a celebration of creativity, culture, and engagement.
- Performances: The FLAME Dance Club’s Nrityanjali contingent set the tone for the day with a melodious opening performance. The FLAME Music Club got the audience singing along, while The Offbeat Crew from the FLAME Dance Club energized the crowd with their dynamic performances at Shantiniketan and The Plaza.
