Marketing Strategy for Goibibo Hourly Stays is another hit! A Gen-Z Twist on Old & Iconic Hindi Songs

Tired of overtly intrusive aunties or classmates? Or is it not having an affordable place to stay while you are waiting for your connecting flight? Or maybe you just don’t have a place of yourself to spend your time with your special someone? Whether it is a fight that you can’t have at home or a serious discussion with your partner that can’t happen outside in a park. Few lectures to bunk or a good afternoon sleep to take. Boy. Boy oh boy. Does Gobibo have something for you?

Recently, word has been spreading around through Goibibo Hourly Stays, and their cheeky ads spread throughout Delhi and Jaipur. A bit too cheeky to say the least. Heavy on sarcasm and low (yes like starting at 499 Rupees low!) on prices. The boards around the city with Goibibo’s ads surely have a lot of meaning rooted in them and are directed albeit (very) smartly at their target audience.

So what Does the Goibibo Hourly Stays billboards say?

“DO DIL MIL RAHE HAI,
DUS LOG DEKH RAHE”

“AAJKAL TERE MERE PYAAR KE CHARCHE
POORA CAMPUS KAR RAHA HAI!”

“KHULLAM KHULLA PYAAR KARENGE
CHUUP CHUUP KE LOG DIKHENGE”

The taglines above were found in those very billboards and it becomes very clear who the largest of their target audience is and what their use case is. For students and travelers who desperately need some personal space and the ones who don’t want to resort to shady Airbnbs or motels (which at times even have hidden cameras inside them or are subject to random police raids).

Goibibo would be a great solution for them. Starting as low as ₹499, only basic identification is required for your stay and the rooms/hotels are scattered throughout the city. This would be a perfect match for an average college student or traveller (with less than average money to spare).

One more thing to note is that when compared to OYO, the amount of shady motels (as mentioned above) becomes remarkably less which in turn adds an extra level of comfort and security as couples would not have to worry as much about some voyeuristic cameras praying on them.

All in all, it finally seems as if affordable hourly stays are finally making a comeback which in turn is a big win for travellers (and couples) all around Pune!
