The Pro-Nites: A Legacy of Unforgettable Performances
For many, the Pro-Nites are the heartbeat of WAVES. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists including Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, Mohit Chauhan, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar Mahadevan, Salim-Sulaiman, Farhan Akhtar, Kailash Kher, Nucleya, and The Local Train, alongside international electronic music acts such as Quintino and Diego Miranda.
From Bollywood favourites to indie-rock anthems and high-energy EDM, these performances have helped make WAVES an experience that extends far beyond the competition stage.
As WAVES prepares to return, the anticipation is as much about who will take the stage as it is about the memories waiting to be made.
Ashes to Ascension: A Theme That Inspires
Every great journey begins with the courage to rise. Ashes to Ascension celebrates transformation, resilience, and the ambition to go beyond what came before.
It reflects a generation that experiments fearlessly, challenges conventions, and finds new ways to express itself.
At WAVES ’26, this spirit comes alive through every performance, creation, and competition. It is about turning an idea into art, stepping onto a stage and finding your voice, or pushing yourself to achieve something you never thought possible. Different talents, different journeys, and one shared ambition: to rise.
Forty Events, Countless Ways to Shine
The Pro-Nites may bring the crowds together after dark, but the competitions are at the heart of the WAVES experience. Across eight categories, WAVES ’26 offers a platform for performers, artists, musicians, filmmakers, quiz enthusiasts, and storytellers to showcase their talents.
The Quiz Fest brings together curious minds through Waves Open, Vices Quiz, Pop Quiz, Melas, and Ganimatoonics. Dance celebrates movement and performance through Natyanjali, Sizzle, NrityaKala, and Insync, while Nova Forma explores art and design through Artathon, Kickstart, Glam Up!, Figmenta, Blackout, Scribble to Story, and Pixellate.
Drama takes storytelling to the stage with Rangmanch, Nukkad Natak, and Off Script. Music brings together Indian Rock, Silence of the Amps, Jukebox, Sargam, and Solonote, giving musicians and vocalists a platform to showcase their craft.
Carpe Dictum celebrates language and literary expression through Inverse, Cultural Gauntlet, and Querencia, while Specials brings together fashion, humour, and personality through Fashion Parade, Mr. and Miss Waves, Show Me the Funny, and Strangely Familiar.
Film and Photography rounds out the lineup with SHo(r)t and Oh Snap!, celebrating the art of visual storytelling.
Whether you’re chasing a podium finish, stepping into the spotlight, creating something original, or cheering from the crowd, WAVES offers three days of opportunities to compete, collaborate, and discover something new.
More Than a College Fest
The best college-fest memories aren’t always about winning. They’re about the performance that gives you goosebumps, the crowd singing along, the friendships formed between events, and the moments you keep talking about long after the festival ends.
WAVES brings together students from different colleges and creative communities, creating an atmosphere where competition meets camaraderie. Add a diverse lineup of cultural events, a legacy of memorable Pro-Nites, and the distinctive setting of Goa, and you have an experience that goes far beyond the usual college calendar.
For three days, the campus becomes a meeting point for talent, ambition, and creativity. Participants arrive to compete, audiences arrive to experience the energy, and everyone gets the chance to be part of something bigger than their own college.
WAVES ’26: Goa, Get Ready
From 23 to 25 October 2026, BITS Pilani, K. K.
