Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth,Pune established in 1921, has a rich history of providing quality education. With its strong reputation for academic excellence, the university continues to cater to the changing needs of society. The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, recently hosted the “Vision and Voices” event. The event aims to celebrate talents amongst people by giving them a platform to showcase their worth. The theme bloomed in the form of “Nostalgia,” on October 7, 2025. 

A sacred lamp-lighting ceremony, performed by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Geetali Tilak, marked the auspicious beginning of the event. A tribute was paid to the great freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and the late Chancellor Dr. Deepak Tilak, with the dignitaries wishing good luck to the volunteers and the team for the event. The dignitaries wished the Vision & Voices team good luck for the event.

The Department is renowned for its academic excellence and innovative approach to education. With a strong focus on practical training and industry exposure, and offers a range of programs that cater to the evolving needs of the media and communication industry. Some of the programs offered by the department include B.A. in Music Production, B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication, M.A. in Mass communication and M.A. in Advertising and Public Relations. It aims to nurture young minds to shape the media of tomorrow.

The event was a grand success, featuring a diverse range of performances and activities that celebrated the theme of nostalgia. Students showcased their talents through various forms of creative expression, including music, and art, evoking memories of the past and highlighting the richness of cultural heritage.
